4639 - "Bird and Beast" Reversible Cariga Sukajan - Black, Ecru

The Studio D'Artisan 4639 Bird and Beast Cariga Sukajan is a fully reversible souvenir jacket with two completely different identities. The outer shell is a cotton-rayon blend with an elegant luster, carrying three-dimensional horizontal embroidery that reconstructs the ancient Japanese picture scroll tradition of Choju-Giga, the bird and beast cartoons, with Studio D'Artisan's characteristic twist: look closely and you'll find their signature pig character woven into the cast of animals with a full spirit of playfulness. Flip it, and the lining reveals a print interpretation of kasuri, a traditional Japanese resist-dyeing technique, rendered in an original Daltizan fabric with a delicate touch and a completely different mood. Two jackets, one silhouette, all made in Japan.
