The ONI Denim 747-WP-KHB Weapon Chino is a departure from everything that has built ONI's reputation, and a compelling one. The West Point cloth, known in Japan as Weapon, a contraction of West Point, was originally developed for the uniforms of the American military academy and remains one of the finest examples of high-density cotton twill available. Constructed with plied yarns at both the warp and weft rather than the single yarns of a conventional chino, the fabric carries superior structure, a cleaner drape, and a sense of substance from the first touch. A cold mercerization treatment strengthens the fibers and improves color retention while contributing a subtle natural sheen that the one wash process softens into something more understated. The 747 fit, nicknamed the Magic Silhouette, runs with a moderately high rise and comfortable top block through the hips and thighs, tapering gradually toward a modern, well-balanced hem. Military-inspired urea buttons, rear welt pockets, and a woven ONI patch, chosen specifically over leather to eliminate dye transfer risk, keep the details deliberate and restrained throughout. Fit Notes: Shop owner Tommy is wearing a size 34 in this 747 silhouette. It is a fairly staright denim from top to bottom, so he wanted to ensure that he got some extra room on them. We would recommend you stick with your normal ONI size here unless you want a little more room, then size up. Tommy is 5'9," 165lbs, with a 33-34" waist.
