IHSH-437-IND - 13.5oz Dobby Cloth CPO Shirt - Indigo
The Iron Heart IHSH-437-IND CPO Shirt is cut from a 13.5oz dobby cloth woven from 100% Mexican cotton, a first for Iron Heart and a material choice that pays off immediately in the hand. The long-fibre Mexican cotton yarns produce a thicker, heftier thread that adds significant weight to the dobby weave, making this shirt feel far more substantial than 13.5oz would suggest. Dobby weaving, a technique dating to the mid-1800s, manipulates the yarns during the weave to create a thick, heavily textured geometric surface, and because that surface exposes more edges than a twill or plain weave, the indigo rope-dyed warp and weft will fade with a high-contrast clarity that highlights the intricate texture beneath. Heavy-duty black snap fastenings, flap-down chest pockets, handwarmer pockets, tonal stitching, and red internal bobbin thread for a quiet pop of color round out a shirt that works just as well as a lightweight jacket through the warmer months.
